Yola Araújo is considered one of the most famous names in Angolan music, having released several successful albums as one of the biggest hitmakers on the market. She started her career in 1997 as a backup singer for other artists, before launching her solo career in 2001 with the album “Sensual”. She has since won numerous awards, including the Best Female Artist from Portuguese-speaking African countries (PALOPS) at the 2018 African Entertainment Awards in the U.S. Yola also involves herself in philanthropic work, regularly contributing to the fight against malaria and HIV/AIDS in Angola.
